cream can cooking



Nancy's family does a fun thing with cream cans during the summer for special occasions. They cook up an entire meal by layering brats, cabbage, onions, potatoes, carrots & corn. This is topped off with a 12-pack of cheap beer (Schlitz seems to be the preferred brand; just don't use light beer). It is then left to simmer for a few hours & a delicious meal is then served out of the cream can. This feeds a lot of people too. Of course while they wait around for dinner to cook they drink the good beer!

  1. Very cool - and the resulting meal looks quite tasty! where did they get or how did they make the base burner contraption for the cream can?
