International Quilt Museum

My friend, Kathy, recently celebrated a birthday. So to further recognize the occasion I took her to the quilt museum in town. It was the first visit for both of us so we were overdue to check it out. I made Kathy pause on the stairs so I could photograph her.

The stairs up to the exhibit rooms were a piece of art themselves.

Wendell, our volunteer tour guide, had a new quilt started. He pieces & quilts his quilts all by hand!

I love these appliqued poppies.

Here is Wendell making a point to Kathy.

The museum is located at 33rd & Holdrege here in Lincoln. Some beautiful quilts on display, many by Nebraskan quilters.
