problem solving

Dad has an old skillet in his kitchen that gets used regularly. Years ago the lid handle broke off & I recall when it had half an inch of a screw protruding to pick it up with. Mom finally asked Dad to fix it & he used some knob from a Club Car golf cart. Works perfectly! And holds up to the heat in the oven. The wooden handle to the skillet has been gone much longer & isn't missed much. This is what Dad pulls out to use whenever he is baking some meat with cream of soup. He will deny it but he can put a tasty meal on the table.
