Audrey visits Nebraska!

Audrey finally made it to Nebraska with her folks from Alabama! She came to Lawrence with her dad, George, on August 27th. Becky (Don's daughter) stayed behind in Omaha with sore throat & just not feeling well. So Audrey was taken care of by the guys . . .



Take note that Audrey has inherited her grandfather & great-grandfather's chin dimple.







A four generation picture just not everyone is related by blood. Everyone in the group is the first born in their family though.

Becky, George, Audrey & Angie came to Lincoln Sunday so I got this shot of Audrey with her mother.

the Nebraska State Fair

My friend, Kathy, and I made it to the Nebraska State Fair this past Monday. This is the final year of the state fair in Lincoln; next year it will be in Grand Island. Kathy was very patient with me as I dug out my camera everywhere we went. We didn't have any funnel cake but I did enjoy some apple pie ala mode. The animals were fun as well. The weather was partly sunny & mild; a great day to be wandering around the attractions. There's still time to get there. The fair ends Monday.

belated wishes to Brandon

Brandon (Betty's son) had a birthday was last week. He's pictured here with Aaron (Heather's son) and Kyla (Jenny's daughter). He's still at Peru State College. I don't get to see a lot of him unfortunately. One of his sisters was kind enough to send this photo!

Happy Birthday, Dale!

After posting all those photos of Ashley it seemed only right to post an extra one for Dale. This is probably the first photo we have of him (pictured with Betty). When I was going through the old photographs I must have commented on the lack of photos of my younger siblings because Dad said when you only have 2 kids you have more time to take pictures! There are lots of photos of Don, Roy & Betty; then it starts to taper off. Even quite a few of me. But Nancy, Dale, Connie & Jim don't have a lot of photos of their younger selves. It's nice, though, to have that connection to our younger selves in photographs. To watch ourselves change, see if our own children look as we did at the same age. Anyway, Dale is so busy he won't even know I posted an old photo, but I know some of you will enjoy seeing it!

Happy Anniversary to Jean & Gene! 30 years!!



Happy Birthday to Nate & Laura!! Nate is married to Nancy's daughter, Ashley, & Laura is married to Nancy's son, Adam. The photos were taken in the waiting room at BryanLGH West ICU 1-2 days after Jason's accident in February. They have both been wonderful additions to our family. They've waited with us through some hard times this past year. Thank you!
