deer season

Today is opening day for deer season with rifle. We will be up in northern Nebraska at the ranch. (Daniel will stay home & dog sit.) Don has an either or permit (either doe or buck) & I am optimistic that he will get a deer this year. They are abundant along with the turkeys up there. He shoots deer & I shoot my camera. It is a long drive up there (over 3 hours) but I enjoy the drive too. This photo was taken two years ago when I went out hunting with Don. It is rather tedious & boring at times to hunt. I actually took a nap while out with him. But there are noises (usually squirrels) to pay attention to in hopes it is a deer. So I'm packing my camera & will have photos to share next week!
