We are enjoying a bountiful tomato crop this summer so it was time to fry up a few. This was something I loved when I was a kid & still do. Fried green tomatoes seem to get more press so I made them once & wasn't impressed; maybe I didn't fry them long enough. The recipe here is easy enough. Slice the tomaotes then dredge them in flour, beaten egg & cracker crumbs (in that order too) then fry them in some oil until brown on both sides. A little pepper too. Even Daniel ate a slice; said he preferred it over fresh tomatoes.
