While I've been hanging out on a couch in the basement during the remodeling I've been covering up with an afghan to keep warm. A special afghan. An afghan that Mom made & gave to Daniel when he graduated from high school. She tried to make one for all of her grandkids but Alzheimers deprived her of that accomplishment. I've been thinking more about Mom lately. This will be our first Christmas without her. I know it will be hardest for Dad. Every day he wishes her back.
Anyway, Mom made this particular afghan using the Navajo pattern. She used this pattern more than once (I know Jim has the same afghan made with red, black & white yarn). If you want the pattern just Google it & you'll find it. And trust me . . . it makes a wonderfully warm blanket.
