a mighty tree
My final photography class has been canceled for tonight due to inclement weather. And the teacher is under the weather too. We'll try again next week. In the meantime, I have this photo I took on Sunday while attending a tea party at the Whispering Pines Bed & Breakfast in Nebraska City. This oak tree stretches its massive branches across the back yard. A sight to behold . . . and photograph.

Kathy & Ken's grandsons
I met my friends, Kathy & Ken, at Robert's Park this past Tuesday. A chilly but calm afternoon. Not the case for today's windy & colder weather. They brought along their grandsons: Riley, Cameron & Sean (the youngest and most spirited). I took about five photos & Ken was ready to be done. At least I got one nice photo for their Christmas letter. Then I photographed the three boys. Sean has the most beautiful eyes, whether goofing off or being serious for a moment.

homework
Only two photography classes left. Still working on "tools". A paint brush is a tool so I asked my friend, Lynne, who is an art teacher to do a bit of painting while I took some photos. I dug out some old Crayola paints & she did some magic with them that I didn't know they could do. She had fun playing & I had a great time too. And I was very pleased with my photos.

Lynne's family
My friend, Lynne, had both of her childeren, Kris & Emily, home for Thanksgiving. A rare occasion since they live in other states. So when Lynne asked if I could take some pictures of her family I agreed partly to see her kids & grandkids again. Dorothy, her mother, & Tom, a brother, were part of the holiday group too.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Don took this photo at the ranch this past weekend. From a second floor window of the house he captured this shot of three wild turkeys walking through the yard. I love how he included the winding driveway in the background.
I am thankful for so many things this year. Today I am especially thankful to have my kids joining us around the dinner table. May your day be blessed as well.
